Sunset Community Festival celebrates neighborhood life
Starting at 11 a.m. and running though 3 p.m, the Sunset Community Festival will fill the courtyard of West Sunset Playground, near the Ortega Branch Library at 39th Avenue and Ortega Street. Neighborhood organizations including Sunset Youth Services, the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center and the Western Neighborhoods Project will have tables at the festival, along with schools and local businesses including the Ocean Beach Bulletin.
The 18th annual Sunset Community Festival festival features a Hawaiian theme and historical highlights from Ocean Beach’s old amusement park, Playland-at-the-Beach. The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is also set to provide a climbing wall and skateboard ramp.
SPECIAL OFFER: In celebration of our second year as part of the Sunset District and other Ocean Beach neighborhoods, the Ocean Beach Bulletin will give a 10 percent discount to anyone who signs up for an ad or sponsorship at our table at the Sunset Community Festival. This offer can combine with discounts we offer for purchases of multiple months. Both new advertisers and renewals are eligible, but you have to show up in person today during the festival.
