Richmond District pepper-spray robbers steal woman’s purse
Two teen girls attacked a woman on Anza Street in the outer Richmond District Monday, taking her purse and giving her a face full of pepper spray.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, at 1:25 p.m. the 21-year-old victim was walking home on the 3500 block of Anza Street, between 26th and 27th avenues, when two suspects grabbed her from behind. The robbers immediately sprayed the woman in the face with pepper spray, grabbed her purse containing money and a cell phone, and escaped.
Police describe the robbers as two black females between 16 and 18 years old.
The victim was treated at the scene for exposure to pepper spray.
