Taser robber zaps man in Outer Sunset
A man was robbed with a taser near the intersection of Noriega Street and the Great Highway in the outer Sunset District Saturday night, according to police.
The 34-year-old victim told police he was walking home, then woke up on the pavement, according to a San Francisco Police Department summary of daily criminal activity. His iPod, wallet, credit cards, driver’s license and some money were missing, as was any memory of what had happened to him. The robbery was reported at 9:31 p.m. Saturday, but no information about how long the victim had been unconscious was immediately available.
The man reported pain in his abdomen and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The Bay City News news service reports in the SF Appeal that the man is expected to survive.
Police have not made any arrests, but the Outer Sunset robber may be in for a shock when it’s time to pull another electrically enhanced crime: The victim in Saturday’s attack found a taser lying next to him when he woke up.
