UPDATE 12:35 p.m. May 14, 2012 – Dozens of people lined the Great Highway to get a glimpse of the 2012 Tour of California bicycle race Monday.

They barely had time to blink, as the cyclists sped by in just a few seconds. Some late-arriving spectators missed the whole thing, even including the long train of support vehicles that followed the riders.

Cyclists will pass the Golden Gate Bridge and then the Legion of Honor at Lands End before turning onto the Great Highway and past Ocean Beach.
