UPDATE 9 a.m. May 10: Jose Cimmarra, who had been missing from the Sunset District since Wednesday, reportedly returned home safely Thursday evening.

KTVU and local wire services reported that Cimarra returned home and is doing well, but had no further information.

An elderly man missing from the Sunset District since Wednesday may be at risk and in need of medical attention.

Jose Cimarra, 85, was last seen in the 1700 block of 41st Avenue Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Police say Cimarra has dementia and other medical needs, and is “at risk.”

Police say Cimarra is Filipino, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has white hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a brown jacket, blue shirt and blue jeans.

Police ask anyone who finds Cimarra to call 911.
