Officials plan a town-hall meeting to discuss the San Francisco city budget, Saturday at the San Francisco Zoo.

District 4′s Supervisor Carmen Chu and District 7′s Supervisor Sean Elsbernd are hosting the meeting to provide information about the City’s upcoming budget and how it might affect neighborhoods in these two supervisor districts. People can also give opinions and ask questions about the budget.

For the first time, this year City departments must plan for two fiscal years, 2012 -2014.

Information about the San Francisco city budget, including the mayor’s proposed budget, a schedule of public meetings and the City’s five-year financial plan, is available on the city website.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the zoo’s Great Hall, to the left of the main gates.

Saturday’s meeting also will be webcast live in both desktop and mobile versions.
