KQED’s “Forum” radio show featured the Ocean Beach Master Plan Tuesday morning, with host Michael Krasny interviewing Ben Grant of the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association.

The half-hour show touched on the erosion, bureaucracy, infrastructure, varying uses and other challenges the Ocean Beach Master Plan is intended to address, plus the impact of the plan, including the impact of proposed changes to the Great Highway.

Later Tuesday, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee told the Board of Supervisors that he intends to find potential funding sources to put the plan’s suggestions into action, and to “remove administrative barriers” that might get in the way of implementing it.

“I’m committed to this not being just another report that gathers dust on the shelf,” Lee said.
