A woman was beaten unconscious by another woman Tuesday night on 48th Avenue between Rivera and Santiago streets, according to police.

The Bay City News service reports in the SF Appeal that the attack on the 64-year-old victim was reported at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday.

A witness saw a woman in her late 20s or early 30s punching and kicking the victim, according to police.

When the witness went to break up the fight, the suspect fled in a blue 2000 Ford van. She had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The victim’s injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, but she was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
