Great Highway to close temporarily for maintenance
The San Francisco Department of Public Works will close the Great Highway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a week, starting Tuesday.
DPW will trim plants in the median to improve visibility and will clear sand as well.
The work was scheduled to start Monday, but the department postponed it.
