The city of San Francisco is pulling out all the stops in anticipation of hosting the first game of the World Series tomorrow evening at AT&T Park. To kick off the series between the Giants and the Texas Rangers, there will be a fireworks display in Golden Gate Park this evening, at some time after 10pm. Motorists should be aware that travel through the park will be limited due to the event.

From the SFPD Richmond Station:

Please be advised that Major League Baseball and the San Francisco Giants will be hosting a brief fireworks display in Golden Gate Park tonight. The fireworks presentation will take place sometime between 10:15pm and 10:25pm. The display is in connection with a private welcome event hosted by the San Francisco Giants and Major League Baseball for out of town visitors and other guests. Access to te music concourse and other areas of Golden Gate Park will be limited for the evening for safety reasons. We appreciate your cooperation. For further information, please call the Park Rangers’ Office at 415.242.6390
