The Nike Women’s Marathon in Photos

The Great Highway was the epi-center of the race, hosting the finish line, as well as a dividing line that sorted the race into the full and half-marathon.
It’s hard enough to run 26.2 miles, the distance of a full marathon. Add to that a light drizzle and cold winds coming off the ocean, and you get a flavor of Sunday morning’s Nike Women’s Marathon. That did not deter the thousands of participants or their supporters from showing up and enjoying the race. The Bulletin’s Andy Wernette was at the finish line, camera in hand.
